SOUVENIRS

This publication showcases works created by JL González following his move from St. John’s to rural Newfoundland in late 2019. These pieces capture his journey of adaptation and introspection during a time of profound uncertainty. Drawing serves as both a personal coping mechanism and a means for reflection, exploration, and deconstruction, channeling the complexities of isolation, cultural dislocation, and transformation into a visual narrative featuring photographs, drawings, and found objects.
